The new feature on Nothing phones is illegal in many countries

Nothing founder and CEO Carl Pei announced the company's new update, Nothing OS 2.5.3, which will be rolled out to all three of their current devices in the coming days. The software includes a secret call recording feature by popular demand, but this is illegal in many countries without the consent of the other party.

Nothing OS 2.5.3 has been released, which is already downloadable for Nothing Phone (1) and (2a) mobile phones, and will soon be available for Nothing Phone (2). By the way, this is the first update to Model 2a that was recently published.

The new interface brings many new functions and improvements, the camera will be better, the system will work more smoothly, and users will also get new useful widgets.

Carl Bay In a recent post He also touched on the fact that a lot of people asked for the secret call recording function, and now this has reached phones, as the new voice recording tool is also good for this purpose.

However, recording calls is illegal in many countries without the other party's consent, including in several US states and some European regions, while in other places it is enough for one party to know about it. There may still be issues with this, and there is no information yet on how to resolve this. It is no coincidence that most smartphone manufacturers removed this feature from their software a long time ago.
