Biodiversity researchers wonder what they might find in a pile of acorns in Beles.

Staff of the Hungarian Biodiversity Research Society found a pile of walnuts with strange content during their fieldwork in Belice, which also embarrassed them. As they wrote on their Facebook page, at first they thought it was an intestinal tract, but no matter how much they thought about it, they could not find an explanation for it, so they addressed their followers with the riddle:

What could be in the picture?

It has also been suggested that they are eggs of some kind, but commenters have also raised several other options:

  • some parasites,
  • Indigestible frog entrails left behind by predators,
  • Frog oviduct.
