Hundreds of young people did not follow the epidemiological rules.

Hundreds of youths were dispersed with water cannons and tear gas in a Brussels park to protest against the coronavirus restrictions.

According to the statement, the Belgian police decided to disperse because the participants did not follow public health rules and did not wear a mask. Pictures of confiscated items, including knives and firecrackers, were later posted on Twitter.

In Belgium, restaurants and entertainment venues have been closed since October last year, although the stands are scheduled to reopen on May 8.
