Western think tank: The big competitor has caught up, and America has lost its complete dominance over the entire continent

For many years, the Australian analysis house has been researching which country’s military forces are considered by armed forces experts to be the strongest in Asia. This is the first time since the surveys began that The majority of participants did not mention the United States as the power that would be able to bring its forces to bear in a regional conflict between states most quickly and effectively, but China. However, the description attached to the index, which is prepared annually, indicates that the growth of Beijing's power may soon reach a ceiling, which may be due to the combined effect of a number of factors, starting with a declining population, increasing public debt, and the public debt. The real estate sector is facing serious problems. They added that this does not yet mean a collapse, but rather a stagnation in the growth of the influence of the great eastern power.

A recurring theme of Beijing’s politicians is that the United States has nothing to gain in the region and that American power is on the decline. But according to the report, this statement is also incorrect, as Washington still leads Beijing on several indicators. For this reason, the Lowy Institute concludes,

The White House has lost its overall defense and security dominance in Asia, but from a military standpoint the White House is still the most influential force.

The study also examined the strength of other powers, and it is no surprise how quickly Russia has lost its power in the region. The invasion of Ukraine has completely distracted Moscow, and this has also been felt on the continent, which is why experts in the region see the Russians as an increasingly minor player. This decline means that the Russians have taken the sixth place in the list of the most important Asian powers, while India, Japan and Australia also take the first place in the list of the largest countries in the world. The analysis confirms that Tokyo has made significant progress in the recent period, especially strengthening its position with its achievements in the field of cooperation. The Lowy Institute highlighted this India, ranked third, may be one of the most important powers of the future, and in many respects the world's most populous country still has serious development opportunities.
