“(Orban) does not represent the European Union. Our values are completely incompatible with Putin and his actions,” Alberto Nunez Feijoo, leader of Spain's conservative People's Party, said on Channel X, adding that even without the Hungarian prime minister's visit, the European position was clear, and that Russian aggression against Ukraine must end.
The pursuit of peace through negotiations can never be criticized. Whose interests exactly do you represent, Mr. Figo?
Viktor Orban has much more dignity, which angers your voters every day.
Didn't you see this tweet? Viktor Orban visited Zelensky for the first time to mediate peace.
And when will the EU's aggression against the European people end? Because I, a staunch supporter of Ukraine, would rather walk in Budapest at midnight than in Brussels, Paris, Cologne or Barcelona.
Vox party leader Santiago Abascal, who recently joined the Hungarian prime minister's Patriots for Europe party coalition on Friday, spoke positively of the events.
The party pointed out that Europe forgets that Orban first traveled to Kyiv to discuss the same issue with Volodymyr Zelensky as he discussed it with Vladimir Putin on Friday.
They added that he did all this in the same way that French President Emmanuel Macron did, but it did not cause a major scandal among EU leaders like the Hungarian Prime Minister's trip.
