Vladimir Putin went to Ukraine, so are they really drawing the new map?

According to the information, the head of state received the report of Colonel Mikhail Teplinsky, commander of the Airborne Forces, Colonel Oleg Makarevich, commander of the Dnieper group, and other military leaders.

Putin recently called the occupied Ukrainian regions a Russian name. “The Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics, as well as the Zaporizhia and Kherson regions, can only be conditionally called new regions of Russia,” Vladimir Putin stated at a meeting of the Supervisory Board of the Strategic Initiatives Agency.

He called on the Russian president to “add all four regions to the All-Russian indicators this decade” and “the sooner the better.” These regions are already marked as belonging to Russia on the new maps of Russia.

The Russian President has repeatedly expressed his opinion that Donbass (Luhansk and Donetsk) is a historical part of Russia. In November 2022, for example, he made it clear that the pro-Russian position of the inhabitants of these regions is based on historical traditions.

Vladimir Putin noted that Donbass was originally planned to be annexed to the RSFSR, but was eventually annexed to the Ukrainian SSR in order to increase the number of working class in the predominantly agrarian republic.

Russia occupied the Kherson region for eight months last year, until Ukrainian soldiers retook the region in November. At first, many residents returned, but due to the Russian forces’ bombardment across the Dnieper River, Kherson has now turned into a ghost town.

At the beginning of the occupation, Ukrainian parents were pressured into accepting Russian citizenship for their newborns.
