Ukrainians prepare for more Russian attacks on the Eastern Front

The UK Ministry of Defense morning report includes the following:

  • It is likely that Russian forces will attempt to encircle powerful Ukrainian positions in eastern Ukraine.
  • The city of Kremena reportedly fell, and heavy fighting was reported south of Izgom as Russian forces attempted to advance from the north and east into the cities of Slovakia and Kramatorsk.
  • Ukrainian forces in Zaporizhia are preparing to defend against a possible Russian attack from the south.
