With Nemanja Petrović’s goal in the 62nd minute, Topolyai Sport Club beat Śukarički 1:0 in the 32nd round of the Serbian Premier League, so they are second with five rounds before the end of the league: Topolyai and Belgrade have 65 points each, but since the disbandment of TSC finished first during the regular season, Topolya finished second.
In the first half, there was a huge battle in midfield, and even though TSC had 60% possession of the ball, the home team couldn’t create much of a scoring opportunity. Just twenty seconds into the second half, Saša Jovanović’s cross from the right was rebounded by Petar Ratkov’s header onto the crossbar. Ten minutes later, Jovanović crossed from the other side, this time Ratkov heading the ball over the bar from six metres. In the 62nd minute, Jovanović was again one of the protagonists, who brilliantly hit the ball in the middle, and Nemanja Petrović smashed the ball into the goal. No other goals were scored in the match, so TSC club collected three very important points and takes second place before the meeting with Partizan, which will take place on Monday at 19:00 in the TSC Arena.
