Toyota has announced that it will launch a new program from January 2022, which will allow additions to be added to cars already purchased in the past. The service name will be Kinto Factory.

The focus will be on driving assistance and safety features: Extras such as brake assist, blind spot monitoring or vertical alert will be included. Convenience functions will also be available thereafter, with even a tailgate that opens and closes electrically.
Another separately available part of the service is the replacement of worn and worn parts. Replacing a worn steering wheel, extended seat cover, or some external components will not be an obstacle, and versions other than the available materials and colors may be available.

In addition to Toyota, the initial list also includes Lexus models. The new feature will be available for more versions of the Toyota Prius, UX, NX and Lexus. The Kinto Factory will launch in Japan for the first time, but is scheduled to be presented in the United States at a later date.
