This is the oldest dog that ever lived: you won’t believe how old it is

As humans, we wouldn’t even call him a baby today, but the fact that he lived so much like a dog is incredible. God bless you for a long time!

Bobby, the world’s largest dog, celebrates his milestone birthday in style with 100 guests, he writes Mirror.

This cute pooch just turned 31 (!), and of course, is celebrating the occasion with a huge party at his family’s farm in Portugal.

Bobby, the oldest officially documented dog in history, was born in May 1992 and won a Guinness World Records title in February.

About 100 guests are expected to attend the birthday party, with people from all over the world coming to join the action. The Bobi family will do everything possible to make the participants feel satisfied, and guests will be able to feast on local meat and fish. Just like a dog, because it only eats human food.

A dancing group will perform to entertain the partygoers, and at some point the party will dance.

Lionel Costa, Bobby’s owner, told Guinness World Records: “There were also a lot of journalists and people from all over the world who came to take a picture with Bobby. They came from all over Europe, and also from the United States and even Japan.”

They live from 12 to 14 years

Bobby is a purebred Alentejo Mastiff, that is, he belongs to the Portuguese dog breed from Alentejo. The average lifespan of this breed is 12-14 years, and Bobby has already more than doubled that.

The dog has lived all his life with the Costa family in the Portuguese village of Conqueros. Lionel also reports that Poppy is healthy, although they recently went to the vet for a check-up after he was concerned about potential stress from the dog’s many visitors.

“A lot of pictures were taken and he had to walk up and down a lot. It wasn’t easy for him,” added the proud owner.

According to his family, he owes his long life to the calm and serene environment in which he lives. Bobby roamed freely in the woods around his home and was not on a leash or chain.

According to them, the dog is very social, he grew up among many other animals, so he was never alone. It eats human food, mostly like its companions, though it is first soaked in water to remove seasoning.

“Between canned pet food or a piece of meat, Bobby doesn’t hesitate and chooses our food,” Lionel said.

Bobi’s date of birth and age were also checked by the veterinary service of the local municipality.
