Hellbalde 2017 was memorable not only because it placed the stations of psychosis on our screen with amazing power, but also because the tradition of warrior protagonist Senoa came to life with a realism rarely seen thanks to new technology and the representation of Melina Jurgens. The latter deserves a BAFTA award by profession, so it’s no wonder Juergens, who works as a video editor for Ninja Theory, is also back in Hellblade 2.
Not at all, because in addition to the usual face play and movement capture, this time Jürgens also made more serious combat designs, despite his suffering from a disease that affected his bones and joints. He took the preparation seriously, as evidenced by his YouTube video series, the second episode of which has now been posted online. There will be lessons in dueling, reinforcements, and a lot of work behind Hellblade 2 Senua, so we just can’t wait for us.
Unfortunately, we don’t know much about the game yet, only that the team has reduced it with a much greater budget and ambition, taking advantage of the opportunities provided by Microsoft for the sequel. The game is built with Unreal Engine 5 and works on Windows 10 PCs as well as Xbox Series X consoles, but it doesn’t have a release date yet.
