Porsche also lends its name to bikes, and just like in the automotive business, they don’t compromise on the highest quality. Cross Performance and Cross Performance EXC are the result of a collaboration with Rotwild, the manufacturer of high-end electric mountain bikes. The design is said to mimic the dynamic lines of the 911 and Taycan, and designers were inspired by them. All new bikes use a Shimano EP-801 electric motor and a 630Wh battery pack.

Both are based on an ultralight frame made of carbon fiber plastic, the front fork has 100mm travel, 120mm rear travel, and the latter works with a Flat DPS air damper. Both bikes have a Shimano XT Di2 12-speed transmission on the rear wheel, and Magura MT7 four-piston disc brakes front and rear ensure great deceleration.

So far, almost everything is the same, how are the two machines different? Individual options give the EXC its edge—the simple performance crossover is only available in silver, while the other six can be purchased in various factory Porsche shades. In terms of their prices, the difference is just one painting, which cost CHF 4,950,000 – CHF 5,340,000.

It is customization. Cross Performance comes in one color, silver. The EXC Edition was designed to order in any of the six original Porsche colours.
