There are those who received the old T-62 tanks that the Russians returned from the warehouse

We have written many times before about the Russian forces recapturing from a warehouse and transferring to Ukraine a modern type of tank T-62, T-62M and T-62MV, which were withdrawn from the army and manufactured in the 60s and 70s.

There has been widespread speculation on the news about why Russia is returning 50-60-year-old tanks from stock when thousands of modern combat vehicles are on paper.

Now it seems that those who suspected that tanks would be handed over to defecting fighters, including reservists, instead of joining the Russian regular forces, would be right.

In addition to these, even South Ossetian volunteers who assisted Russia as de facto foreign volunteers received T-62s.

So far, it is not possible to say with certainty that the T-62 appeared on the front line because Russia is running out of fillable tanks, despite the fact that they could give the second generation of the T-72, which is also not very modern. Also the tanks, which are still thousands of Russians in stock on paper.
