Those who have been following us for a long time will probably remember her primary phone Created by Andy Rubin and his team, also known as the Mother of Android. As you know, they released our first Android mobile phone, which later proved to be a failure, and eventually OnePlus founder Carl Pei bought the phone development company. Although the startup hasn’t returned to its former form, the same team that created the base phone is now working on a smartphone again. The device can be called Osom OV1, and the primary focus will be on protecting user data.
The latest information is Android Thanks to the device, they unveiled an Android device that is particularly focused on privacy. You can see the back of your smartphone in a displayed image, and share some previews about your mobile with us.
Osom Products is headquartered in Quebec, Canada and was founded by Jason Keats the previous year. The team that developed their first devices is made up of the same people who created Essential PH-1, but Andy Rubin is not a member of that team. Privacy is of paramount importance to the company, and users can get a detailed and accurate picture of what information their apps have access to. Founder Keats has already stated that his smartphone will be hundreds of times better at letting users know what information he lets others access – compared to competing Android phones.
The specifications of the Osom OV1 haven’t been revealed yet, but we can already learn a few things about it. For example, the phone will be equipped with a dual-camera image capture system, with a fingerprint reader on the back and a Qualcomm chipset that is not currently detailed under the hood. Almost complete Android will be installed on the device, which its maker will reveal more about at MWC in February. Keats, president of Osom, also quickly clarified that OV1 would not accidentally continue the primary phone, and that the mobile would debut with Google services on board.
The smartphone is said to be still in development, and the render shown here is based on the first working prototype. Thus, the final device and its characteristics can change drastically by the time it reaches its final form. If all goes according to the developers’ plans, the Osom OV1 will be available in the summer of 2022.
