This is the result of 20 years of collecting work here, a total of two thousand boxes, from nearly fifty countries – Lajos Gazsó shines the light. – Collecting beer cans became my hobby with the help of friends, relatives and acquaintances. There have been at least two times in the past 20 years when I have considered ending the group, but others have convinced me to continue.
Al-Jameh, who was born in 1956, said.
Poland, Slovakia, Ukraine, Romania and Serbia are just a few of the countries in the region, where many cans of beer can be found in the Lajos Gazsó range. According to him, empty cans of the most important and famous beer of all neighboring countries can be found on garage shelves. Of course, the collection is not limited to the countries of the narrowest region, from Sweden to Italy, and from the USA to the Central Asian region, but the beer culture of many countries is also reflected in the unique collection.
“This is the unique piece in the collection and probably the one that came here from the furthest,” he lifts the box carefully from the middle shelf. – This one came straight from an island in the Pacific Ocean, Tahiti – Showcasing the really rare piece, adding that he’s also sourced pieces from Jordan and Spain.
The special feature of the collection is that no two are the same, as it places great emphasis on ensuring that there is no accidental repetition. True, he does not consider the different versions of the same product as a repetition, in fact, in such cases, he tries to find the entire series and all its versions.
During his visits to Austria and Germany, he came up with the idea of collecting beer cans. At that time, the choice at home was still limited, while outside, one was amazed at the wide range of products. He brought the first batch of the batch from Austria, a beer called Zipfer, which is still on the shelf today.
“Why beer?” Honestly, I couldn’t tell. I’m not a huge beer drinker, and I rarely drink one myself, but I find it interesting and keeps me engaged. I’m already retired, Lagos explained, so it’s a permanent job for me.
Maintaining the collection is no small task either, for example, washing the bins once or twice a year takes a whole day, as my partner usually helps out constantly.
is without.
No acquaintance travels abroad without offering him the rarity of beer associated with the particular place or country, whose box he will naturally add to his already respectable collection.
Although much of the world already has a piece in the collection, the collection is never complete, there is always a brand yet to be displayed on Tiszafüred’s garage shelves. Therefore, Lajos Gazsó intends to continue this activity, and although the task becomes more and more difficult with time, he continues to search for rarities. According to his current knowledge, there are a few people across the country who are engaged in collecting beer cans in similar quantities, and he is familiar with a few county-level groups. Some people indulge in a five-liter mini-keg set, which is a particularly expensive hobby. Holds on to a pint, as his partner also supports him, he owes him a lot.

He knows every nook and cranny in the area
It can be said without exaggeration that Lajos Gazsó knows every corner of Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok County very well. He was born in Fegyvernek in 1956 and graduated from high school in Kunhegyesen. He lived in Kisújszállás, Karcago and Kunmadaras next to the two mentioned towns, and has been living in Tiszafüred for fifteen years now. He has worked as a technical inspector for TIGÁZ for twenty-four years, and there is hardly a settlement in the province that he has not visited during this time. Now retired, he collects beer cans for his own amusement and pleasure, and hopes his already unique collection will continue to grow.
