Chinese researchers have discovered dozens of cosmic super-energy (UHE) accelerators in the Milky Way. This discovery could help us understand the formation of galaxies and the origins of cosmic rays that have occupied scientists for centuries.

a nature The discovery, which has been presented in a scientific journal, was made at the LHAASO (Large High Altitude Air Shower Observatory) in China. The enterprise still under construction – shown in the opening photo of our article – is located in Taocheng, the nation’s leading scientific and technological infrastructure facility in the southwestern province of Sichuan.

The result of the research conducted by the Institute of High Energy Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences was born after 11 months of observation in half of the completed facility.

Scientists have also discovered photons that are more than one beta electron volt (PeV), 100 times more energy than any human-made accelerator. The prefix beta means the fifteenth power of the number ten.
