About The Organizers | Kaylon Beck & Kadeem Pilgrim
Kaylon Beck is a current Howard University MBA candidate concentrating in Entrepreneurship. She studied Hotel and Restaurant Management at the University of Houston and proceeded to work in the hospitality industry, as well as garner first-hand management experience running her own business. Passionate about entrepreneurship, the transition from Houston to the east coast was a natural fit.
With encouragement from friends and family, Kaylon has had a successful first year in her MBA program while also growing her event planning business, K. Benai Events. Grateful for an amazing cohort and support from faculty, Kaylon believes that the inaugural Sports & Entertainment Summit will be a huge success and asset to the University, as well as prospective students.
Kadeem Pilgrim is a current Howard University MBA candidate concentrating in International Business Consulting and Marketing Strategy. Kadeem would like to use his education to develop his skills as a marketing and branding guru and has spent the last five years honing his skills in brand management and marketing strategy.
This event will be somewhat of a full-circle experience for Kadeem who, outside of planning the Summit, has spent the last several months interning with popular clothing brand “Cross Colours”. The brand has styled artists such as Bruno Mars, Cardi B, Chris Brown, Issa Rae, etc, and is preparing to launch its new HBCU-inspired line of clothing, which Kadeem played a role in designing.
Some may consider Kaylon and Kadeem a bright light for other young professionals who seek to attain their goals, and their determination has resulted in what will clearly be a successful event for Howard University.
