Lance outing on Monday took off On a plane to Great Britain.
It comes after Aston Martin team principal Mike Crack said the next step in his recovery from unspecified wrist and hand injuries is a simulated test at the team’s Silverstone factory. Krack has decided that if the 24-year-old Canadian is unable to race this weekend, he will still be replaced by team reserve and Formula 2 champion Felipe Drugovic.

Stroll has been photographed on the plane in Barcelona. He reportedly crashed his mountain bike near Malaga just over a week ago, without bandages or a cast on his arm. When asked if Stroll really did return to the simulator, Krack replied:
“Not yet, but this is the first step. Our plan is to have Lance in the car. Then Bahrain comes first before we talk about Jeddah.”
Some understand that Aston Martin, which is owned by Lance’s father, Lawrence, is willing to give Drojovich some special opportunities.
However, Fernando Alonso said that despite the 2023 car’s impressive performance in Bahrain last week, he wants Stroll back on the track as soon as possible. This is how the Spaniards put it:
“we miss you. I have some comments and feelings about the car. But we never knew if it was just my feeling in the new team and the new car, or if it was something from Aston Martin that Lance would feel too. We can’t do it without him, so I hope he can come back very soon.”
Regardless, the 41-year-old Alonso – who moved on from the Alps in the winter – was extremely optimistic about Aston Martin’s chances ahead of the season opener in Bahrain:
“Ferrari did the same full race program with the same amount of fuel, the same pit stops, but we were a little faster.”
However, experienced British presenter and former Formula One driver Martin Brundle denied that Aston Martin would overtake Mercedes in 2023.
“I think they underestimate how strong the Mercedes team is and how strong that car is.”
However, the gap between Red Bull and Ferrari at the top seems too big. However, Mercedes chases after them. Their team boss Toto Wolff also admitted he was surprised by how low Red Bull had run its new rear-mounted 2023 car. That is why, according to him, the grip of Red Bull 2023 is breathtaking:
“If we do that, the floor will crack.”
Meanwhile, Red Bull boss Christian Horner admitted that he watches Aston Martin with greedy eyes:
“It seems that they have taken a big step forward. Presumably, they have improved their concept and are not far from us.
Haas driver Kevin Magnussen agrees:
“They seem to be very fast. They are constantly completing long stages, and when they go for a lap time, they complete them too.”
Drugovic will almost certainly replace Stroll at the 2023 Bahrain Grand Prix
