According to the boy, there are many people pretending to march for peace while demonstrating for Russia. He also said that Peter Biro, a secondary school English teacher in Poltar (the county seat), tried to punch him in the face because he didn’t like the fact that he had joined the rally with a Ukrainian flag on his shoulder. Dušan Zedicovan, head of Poltari Unified Secondary School (Spojená stredná škola v Poltári), said he knew about the incident, but did not want to comment on it, stating that he was apolitical and did not care what his classmates were doing in their spare time – as long as there was no crime involved. When asked if he thought such behavior was appropriate for a teacher dealing with young people, the principal did not answer and hung up.
According to DenníkN, the peace marches are being organized by the Archa Association (Spolok Archa), which was co-founded by Tibor Eliot Rostas, editor-in-chief of the pro-Kremlin magazine Zem a Vek.
