The Tampa Bay Lightning defeated the Philadelphia Flyers 4-1 on the last day of North American Professional Hockey League (NHL) play. Stephen Stamkos scored an assist for the winning visitors, earning 1,000 points. He is the 95th NHL player and the second Lightning player to reach this milestone. The 32-year-old Canadian center has played exclusively for Tampa Bay since he was drafted in 2008.

Two North American Professional Hockey League game-day Thursday overtime ties were decided: Seattle thrashed visiting Washington, and Nashville won at home in New Jersey in overtime. Mate Beniers scored the first goal in the first game, and Ryan Johansen scored the last goal in the second game. With another hit, Seattle pulled off a seven-game winning streak.
