Sony Pictures and HBO Max have entered into an exclusive agreement for Central and Eastern Europe.
An important change is coming soon in our region, as Sony Pictures Television and WarnerMedia have expanded their partnership to Central and Eastern Europe. In practical terms, that means at least a move to Warner’s new streaming platform, HBO Max, which will launch in Hungary in March, with old Sony movies as well as the latest releases.
So Venom 2 – Bloodshed, Ghostbusters – Heritage, Uncharted, Morbius and Spider-Man will be here: There’s no way back home either.
So far, Sony movies have also appeared on Netflix in Hungary, but that will change in the future. The situation is similar across the region, with the agreement now in force in Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania and the Adriatic region.
Old titles in Sony’s repertoire will be ported to HBO Max, including Christmas Surprises, Museum of Broken Hearts, Monster Hunter, The Father, Hotel Transylvania Series, Peter the Rabbit, Peter the Rabbit 2 – Rabbit Shoes, and Spiderman : Homecoming, and Spiderman: Head to PokerSver! , The Amazing Spiderman 1 and Jumanji Castle are also in the forest.
HBO Max will replace HBO GO in the region on March 8, including Hungary.
