National Sport asks readers to help out on the best day of the year

As we reported, On the official website of the International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA), the lists of nominees for the FIFA Best Football Awards categories, compiled by experts, were presented. Winners will be announced in eight categories. According to tradition, this year the final result also consists of the votes of the national team captains, team captain, media representatives and fans’ online vote. György Szöllősi, editor-in-chief of Nemzeti Sport, who represents the Hungarian media in the vote, wants to verify the intentions of the fans in his own decision, so he asks for the cooperation of the readers: help our newspaper’s decision and vote with their comments!

The votes of all four sections of the jury (leaders of the federation, team leaders, professional journalists, fans) are counted with the same weight, i.e. 25 percent, when the final result is announced.

Online voting began on January 12th and will continue until midnight on February 3rd.

The awards ceremony will take place on February 27 in Paris.
