Meghan Markle's feminist podcast has jumped to the top of the Spotify charts

The Duchess of Sussex tops the Spotify charts in six markets around the world, including the US and UK.

The originals, released exclusively on Spotify on Tuesday, are number one on the streaming service’s podcast charts in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand. Next week’s episode will feature a conversation between Markle and Mariah Carey.

In the first episode, Markle spoke to Serena Williams about the double standards women face when they are labeled “aspirational” and how it has a profound negative impact on other areas of their lives and how they are perceived. The “Original Models” Episodes, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex invites cultural commentators, historians and contemporary thinkers to delve into the origins of stereotypes about women and how they shape narratives. The weekly series is produced by Archewell Audio, founded by Meghan and Prince Harry, in partnership with Spotify Gimlet Media.
