Warner paid HUF 180 billion for the broadcast rights to 333 episodes of South Park.

Warner Bros Discovery is suing Paramount Global for hundreds of millions of dollars over the broadcast rights to South Park – Reuters reports. Warner has filed a lawsuit in a Manhattan court alleging it paid more than $500 million in 2019 to Paramount and South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone for 333 episodes of HBO over the rights to air Max, including seasons 24, 25 and 26. .

In 2020, the creators told Warner that they would not receive 10 episodes, as production on the series had been halted due to the pandemic. It was around this time that Paramount began preparing to launch its own streaming service, Paramount+. Paramount-owned MTV announced in August 2021 that new South Park content will be available on Paramount+ through its 30th season in 2027.
