Loeffler tested positive for coronavirus on Friday, but the subsequent test came out inconclusive on Saturday evening, according to campaign spokesperson Stephen Lawson.
Senator Loeffler did two tests for COVID on Friday morning. Her rapid test results were negative and she was allowed to attend events on Friday. She was informed later in the evening after Friday’s public events that her PCR test came positive, but she was retested Saturday morning After consulting with medical officials, these findings were inconclusive on Saturday evening, “Lawson said.
Lawson said: “She has no symptoms and will continue to follow the CDC’s guidance through quarantine until the retesting becomes final and an update will be provided at that time.”
The campaign official added that Loeffler informs those she has had direct contact with while she waits for further tests.
