It was a software package that exceeded the GeForce mining limit

GitHub has already removed the affected site, which was trying to explore miners using the world’s smallest “engine”.

Earlier this week, we wrote about it, according to an alleged developer named Sergey GeForces mining limit has been completely removedhe also created a GitHub page for the software package he created.

Although the project was originally released on February 26, the NVIDIA RTX LHR v2 Unlocker itself is soon available for download. This is an application that, in principle, will modify the BIOS for each VGA or download a driver for unlimited mining. In fact, it also does not do this because the BIOS modification file cannot be found in the installed files, but it downloads a purported driver from a remote server. This might sound realistic even under the name “511.65-desktop-win64bit-international-nsd-dch-whql.exe”, but the entire file size is 155KB, so to put it mildly, it’s not what it looks like, and a lot of virus scanners refer to it as .

Aware of the developments, the whole thing appears to be a lie, and GitHub has already removed the page in question. It is not yet clear what a delinquent named Sergey wanted to achieve, since the exact operation of his program has not been revealed. Since many will use it in machines designed for mining, there really isn’t much chance of an attack unless the target is to abuse cryptoparties. There is some truth in this, since these machines are good for anything other than mining, but if Sergey gets only part of the results of the work done, then he can earn a lot from them.
