The stream of Resident Evil mods hasn’t ended yet, and Netflix will be flashing again soon.
Many have tried, in many ways, to adapt Resident Evil games, but so far with little success: Unfortunately, the last attempt, Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City, was disgraceful, as we might have guessed from the trailers.
Perhaps Netflix is where the rights are really good, but the in-game mods offered from the service provider didn’t work in the same way. At least we already know when we can watch the series that puts the Wesker family on top.
The premiere date has been set for July 14th. The series will focus on Jade Wesker, who, 14 years after the outbreak of the deadly virus, is trying to survive the year 2036 in the zombie-infested city of New Raccoon, but his father’s relationship with Umbrella and what happened to his sister Billie, are still haunted. We can learn about both the present and the past.
Lance Riddick will play Albert Weskert, but Ella Balinska, Tamara Smart, Sienna Agudong, Adeline Rudolph and Paula Nunez will also be on the list. The story was recorded by Andrew Dabb, better known as Oda.
