Now, the trend towards making movies based on video game franchises is making a comeback, perhaps due to the huge success of Pikachu, Detective, and Sonic the Hedgehog. While Sony is making three movies and seven series, Netflix is working on the Assassin’s Creed series and several Resident Evil-based content alongside the already underway adaptations from The Witcher and Castlevania.
Daniel Richtman, Which previously aired several movie and TV ads prior to its confirmation, now claims that Netflix wants to work with Bethesda to produce a live series, The Elder Scrolls.
The provider hopes this will be successful as Butter. More details are not yet known, but there are plenty of raw materials filmmakers can work with, and we’re seeing opportunities for collaboration.
Bethesda has already nodded with a series, but it won’t be made by Netflix, but by Amazon, and it will be based on the Fallout franchise.
