Index - Sports - Lewis Hamilton's race questioned at this weekend's Canadian Grand Prix

at recent days, Azerbaijani Grand Prix in Baku. In the end, world champion Max Verstappen won the race with flying colours, but this included the fact that none of the Ferraris could finish the race due to various engine failures. It is interesting that a total of four racing cars with Ferrari engines were unable to cross the finish line. Sergio Perez was second, George Russell was third, and Lewis Hamilton, who after the race called the Azerbaijani Grand Prix the most painful race in his life, was fourth.

According to the seven-time world champion Mercedes driver, at one point in the race, he didn’t even know if he could take such pain to the finish.

There were so many moments when I didn’t even know if I was going to make it to the finish line at all. I wasn’t even sure if I could keep the car on track

– said Hamilton on Sky Sports coverage in the post-race moments.

The Mercedes race car wore out very intensely during the race, which became a recurring problem for the team. Team principal Toto Wolff said after the race that Lewis Hamilton’s Canadian Grand Prix race weekend was questionable. The British pilot added:

“I used to dream of getting back in the car every time.”

Despite this, the seven-time world champion thanked fans for their support in a Twitter post, hinting that if it were up to him, he’d be on the grid in Canada as well.
