Index - Economy - The Bar Association sends a message to Catalin Novak: Do not sign it!

The Hungarian Bar Association considers the new criminal code alarming from a legal point of view, which makes it impossible for hundreds of thousands of companies,

Respectfully asks the President of the Republic not to sign it – as it stands.

According to the Chamber, the law that brought about changes during the year, affecting lawyers and hundreds of thousands of citizens and the micro, small and medium businesses they represent, was created without meaningful professional advice, in violation of the legal certainty requirement.

According to the announcement, the adopted law significantly increases the burden on taxpayers and legal researchers — with a deadline that makes preparation difficult — and threatens access to the law by making the financial conditions of defense attorneys and costly defense attorneys impossible.
