For financial reasons, the famous thermal spa in Letini, which is owned by the municipality, will not open again this year. According to what was said at the council meeting at the end of April, opening is also not possible because of the city’s future school.

Thus, it is envisaged that the cold water well of the thermal bath, already sealed, will temporarily supply the pool with water.
The thermal bath in Zala district opened its doors in 2003 and operates seasonally during the summer beach season. However, it did not open in 2018, because the winter weather caused too much damage to the swimming pools to be repaired by summer.
They reopened in 2019, but the spa remained closed in 2020 and 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic. Last summer, they decided to close for financial reasons, as the settlement could not afford the extra payment associated with operating the thermal bath. Then he suggested that the facility be leased or sold. A decision has already been made on the latter, but no progress has been made this year.
