In 2022, Republicans will regain the majority in the legislature

The event was special, with details leaked from the speech, the former president said: “We gathered tonight to talk about the future of the Republican Party and what we must do to put our candidates on a winning path.”
According to excerpts from the American media, Trump phrased it as follows:

“I can say with confidence that in 2022 we will restore the House of Commons and restore the Senate, and in 2024 a Republican candidate will win the White House race.”

The former president also spoke of his desire to increase membership in the Republican Party.
Jason Miller, Trump’s advisor and spokesperson, confirmed this to NewsMax on Saturday The former president will focus on restoring the Senate and the House of Representatives in the midterm elections. On whether Trump will run in the 2024 presidential race, Miller said:

“Obviously I’m biased, and I hope President Trump decides to restart!”

Miller noted that other presidents, such as George W. Bush, Barack Obama or Bill Clinton, when they resigned – unlike Donald Trump – did not have much political leeway. Miller said the former president is “stronger than ever,” adding that in 2024, Trump will be “by far the biggest candidate among Republicans”.
Donald Trump said a month ago at an annual conference of the Conservative Political Action Group (CPAC) in Orlando, Florida:

“I stand before you today to announce that the wonderful journey that we began together four years ago is far from over. The proud, hard-working patriot American movement has just begun, and in the end we will win!”

The former president did not rule out at the time that in 2024 he would begin the race for the presidency.

“Who knows, I might decide to defeat them for the third time.”

Trump said.

At a press conference in mid-March, US President Joe Biden said, “He plans to run for election as president in 2024,” however, he also said, “I am a huge fan of fate. I can never plan in advance for 3.5 years.” The president added that he would reelect Kamala Harris as vice president. “He’s doing an amazing job and he’s a great partner.”
In the leaked news, Donald Trump harshly criticized, on Saturday, Mitch McConnell, the Republican minority leader in the US Senate, for his mistakes in the US Senate, and also said he was disappointed with former Vice President Mike Pence.
