For the third time in a row this year, the stadium will jump in Italy, which will secure a place on the F1 racing calendar in the coming years, according to a recent announcement.
Imola returned to Formula 1 trading in 2020, when regulators had to search for pop-up sites due to the coronavirus pandemic. The preferred location for pilots in Italy was on the 2021 schedule for similar reasons, just as it replaced China, which was still neglected in April due to the pandemic.
Well, the jumps have proven so successful that F1 has just announced that it has signed a three-year contract with the legendary circuit, which will host the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix, according to which the Italian track will be overhauled until 2025.
It also means that Italy will host two races in the coming years, as the Italian Grand Prix will continue at Monza. There is a place in the calendar, since the contract with the Russian GP was terminated a few days ago, and according to the agreement with the teams, the number of rounds can be increased from 23 to 25 this year in the near future.
