The British racing driver has been traveling the world thanks to world championship races, but he hasn’t had the chance to go to a game in Denver since August. On Monday evening, Hamilton was immediately in Los Angeles cheering for his team, the Broncos, battling against his collective challenger, the Chargers.
Although we are used to Hamilton wearing the number 44 in Formula 1 in recent years, his bronze jersey bears the number 22, referring to the year of purchase. (Interestingly, the number 44 jersey has already been retired by the Broncos in honor of former senior linebacker Floyd Little, who died last year.)
The Broncos didn’t start the game poorly, and Russell Wilson, a quarterback who came from the Seattle Seahawks in the summer and won the Super Bowl against the Broncos, played the best game of his short career in Denver, but in the second half couldn’t find the antidote to improving the chargers’ defense.
In the end, Los Angeles won the group stage in overtime, thus improving its record to 4-2, while the Broncos are currently relegating, 2-4.
So Hamilton was not happy with the match, he now thinks he will be more satisfied after Sunday’s US Grand Prix.
