This time, it was not a leak, but rather Google itself that revealed the new products that will be introduced.
Google is known for not making much effort to maintain secrecy around its products, so information and visual representations of upcoming Pixel gadgets are often leaked long before the official launch.
The matter is no different in the case of the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro phones, which will be unveiled in October, and the Pixel Watch 2 smart watch, about which there is already a lot of information circulating on the Internet, and now the research giant has put a shovel on this issue by flashing products.
Google has shared two teaser videos on YouTube, through which we can admire the new phones and the smart watch from basically all aspects, so the official announcement will certainly not carry any surprises at the design level. What’s more, since both cell phones and smartwatches look eerily similar to their 2022 predecessors.
What could be considered a more exciting detail is that the teaser for the Pixel Watch 2 confirms the device’s IP68 water resistance, which is a significant improvement compared to the Pixel Watch+ which only offers 5 ATM protection. Regarding the second generation of the smartwatch, birds are also chirping about an EDA sensor that measures our stress level and a longer operating time, but there is no mention of this in the short video.
The Pixel 2023 product line will be revealed on October 4, at 4pm CET, which we will of course report on.
