OPUS has a total balance sheet of HUF 1,000 billion. But in the first three quarters, the profit after tax was “only” HUF 13-9 billion.

During the operation of the OPUS Group, the total balance sheet exceeded HUF 1,000 billion for the first time, OPUS GLOBAL Nyrt wrote in its announcement after the company’s third-quarter report this year. According to the announcement, the consolidated profit of the company group for the three quarters of 2022 was HUF 14.7 billion.

Although the announcement itself was published in MTI, the general media somehow forgot to mention that OPUS is the love interest of Laurenc Mizaros, a childhood friend of Viktor Orbán and one of the richest men in the country.

The total balance sheet for the last year of OPUS was “only” 889 billion HUF, the company group considers the increase as a result of the evolution of its business, “since the balance sheet items of the energy companies obtained in 2021 (OPUS TIGÁZ, OPUS TITÁSZ ) are already consolidated in the comparative period of the previous year.

At the consolidated level, OPUS GLOBAL Nyrt generated 86.4 percent higher operating income in the first three quarters of this year, which increased by HUF 163.2 billion compared to the base period of the previous year. In addition to operating income of HUF 352.1 billion, EBITDA was approximately HUF 52 billion. In the announcement, they said that this value, which best reflects the real performance of the company’s group, is 25.5 billion HUF higher than in the first three quarters of 2021, despite the deteriorating economic environment.

However, the total operating costs of the group also increased: HUF 148.6 billion were spent, “and the reason is not only the expansion of the group’s portfolio, but also the unfavorable economic situation, which is worsening at an accelerated rate this year, too. Inflation, raw materials and energy prices also rose. “.

In the first three quarters of this year, the company group generated an after-tax profit of HUF 13.9 billion.
