In most EEA countries, the EUDCC vaccination certificate is valid from 1 July. Certification means freedom of movement for those protected from the “green” and mostly “yellow” areas, including Hungarians. However, it is worth watching the news, and the rating may change at any time. Accordingly, each member state may decide to carry out further lockdowns due to the epidemiological situation. However, they cannot bring this from one moment to the next, they must report at least 48 hours before submitting the aggravation.

Who qualifies for protection?

Only minimal standards for protection have been established: it is mandatory for all countries to accept them if someone can prove they are infected or have received a vaccine approved by the European Medicines Agency (EMA). Furthermore, a negative test for protection is sufficient for unvaccinated individuals.

However, it is not clear exactly how many days a person will be considered protected in these cases, and that is up to which states decide. Countries also decide on the conditions under which they can be tested, and they can also decide which vaccines to accept together with a non-EMA-approved vaccine – this is important for EU citizens, especially among Hungarians, where we also use Chinese and Russian vaccines. vaccinate the population. However, states may grant exceptions to requirements under a certain age.
