With the first Dragon's Dogma finally getting a major expansion (Dark Arisen), it seems entirely logical that Capcom would also expand the new part of the franchise ported to the RE Engine after the release of the base game.
It appeared on 4chan that Capcom has scheduled the release of the Dragon's Dogma II Expansion Pass trailer for September 24, so if everything is correct, the Japanese publisher may announce official information about the game in a week. Here it is worth mentioning a slightly older rumor, because at the end of March (!) There was already talk about the contents of the expansion pass.
The DLC may be called Dragon Princess and may be much larger than Dark Arisen, but for now it doesn’t plan to change the content of the base game. The new area will be a swamp and tundra in a country called Galasia, based on the Nordic countries. It will be the same size as the game’s main map (Battahl and Venworth) and will be accessible from a few points in the eastern part of Vernworth. The DLC’s story revolves around another female Arisen who has been chosen by another dragon. The main story is only available after the main game, but the area will be available at any point in the game.
For DLC, it’s almost $30 (12,000 HUF), and it would be Capcom’s largest DLC to date, which the Japanese company is said to have been working on in parallel with the development of the base game. It will feature around 10 new big monsters and around 35 new enemy types. The leaker talked about a giant snow elf, a giant bear, a poisoned wyvern, and a Cerberus. At the time, it was said that the Dragon’s Dogma II DLC could be released in November, but Capcom likely won’t hold that, so it wouldn’t be a huge surprise if it only appeared on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X at first. For PC and Mac 2025…
But we must point out that this is not official!
