It’s filming the final or sixth season of The Crown, which is about the British royal family – or at least it’s inspired by it.
Netflix has released the first official images of Ed McVey and Meg Bellamy, who play college-aged Prince William and Kate Middleton, aka Princess Catherine, on the series. The duo will appear in the sixth and final season of the series, which will air later this year.
As The Crown enters a new decade, Prince William begins college at St Andrews, determined to live as normal a life as possible while he still can. Filming for the series, which began in 2016, officially ended last Friday. Claudia Harrison, who plays Princess Anna in seasons five and six, revealed at a Netflix press event Wednesday night that the final scene the crew filmed was a wedding at York Minster, with the entire family in attendance. The cathedral’s interior closely resembles Westminster Abbey, where the real William and Kate got married in 2011.
