Brits kill their cars in deep water

Aside from a few rare exceptions, cars are primarily designed for road transport, though, so British motorists recently had to test the ability of their cars to drive on water at Rufford Mill Ford, one of Nottinghamshire’s major tourist attractions. The area is often flooded by rain, in which case the water level above the road can reach half a meter.

This is deeper than ideal for most passenger cars, so the maximum allowable number of engines is ruined by this phenomenon, which videographer Tom Sunderland took a closer look at. He has already made more than a hundred recordings of cars wading in the water, which often generate hundreds of thousands of views for him on the video-sharing site.

In his latest video, they first tried to deal with the BMW 4’s water flow, but after the first few moments, a larger wave hit the hood. We did not have to wait long for the consequences to appear: it immediately made a squeaking sound, and then stopped soon after. After several runs, the owner successfully restarted it, then left the scene, but there is likely to be a lot of damage to the chain of command.

They took the snag more easily with the Bentley Bentayga, as well as with a small Vauxhall (Opel), after which another BMW survived the cheaper “shower”. Moreover, with larger cars, they more courageously cross the flood, showering passersby and spectators – however, sometimes this leads to damage to the bumper or other parts.

Two years ago, also in the UK, it was registered as They drove a Ferrari in a flood caused by a broken pipebut in Hungary it also happened that Audi was converted to motorboat mode – which turned out to be a bad idea for another reason.

We summarized the consequences if the car sinks or suffers other water damage in a previous article:
