Approximately 15 Warzone weapons are affected by nerfs and buffs in Season 2 Reloaded

Approximately 15 Warzone weapons are affected by nerfs and buffs in Season 2 Reloaded

This time, the developers did not hesitate to determine the fate of Warzone weapons. Let's see which games suffered the most.

06.03.2024 – Warzone players have been able to enjoy the combined Season 2 update of Modern Warfare III and Warzone for about a month, so the arrival of the Season 2 Reloaded update is timely. The original start was a bit smoother compared to the previous era change, as Warzone 2.0 and Season 4 brought many problems with them. However, on paper, Reloaded season 1 was derailed on several levels by preparations for season 2. The developers did not rest, as they continuously collected user statistics during the month of January. Fortunately, the beginning of the second season was much kinder to the players, but the closure of the servers at the end of February will be remembered by many during the coming period.

Ahead of the holidays, some weapons and accessories have been nerfed or banned from the game in order to make the Christmas period as balanced as possible. Then, of course, January did not escape these changes either, as a total of 5 such packages arrived that month. A similar trend can be read in February as well, but the mood has not calmed down yet. Of course, thanks to this, there were still some weapons that proved to be extremely powerful. Most users are putting the spotlight on the AMR9 and MTZ-762/556 these days, as they dominate the WZRanked charts by a surprising amount. January and February change here and there, and the reloaded early-season and mid-season updates always bring some surprises. That's why Reloaded Season 2 was expected to bring additional weaknesses and boosts, so everyone was sitting on edge waiting for the latest update to Warzone and Modern Warfare III.

This is what the new Warzone update has in store

Well, the developers haven't really held back. On March 6th, in the late afternoon, the official blog post was published. After looking at the patch notes, it quickly became clear that several weapons were affected by the changes. Almost none of the classes have survived the actions of the developers, and there will be some getting used to in the first period.

In the case of the following weapons, be sure to prepare for weakening:

  • RAM-7
  • MTZ-762
  • BP50
  • Polymute kit

As you might have guessed, the ultimate super weapons didn't escape weakness this time either. In most cases, the developers have improved the damage values this time, thanks to which players will be able to enjoy fairer matches on paper. But this time the list of reinforcements is longer:

  • RAM-9
  • Bruin Mk9
  • Kat Amr
  • XRK stalker
  • Mkw
  • Holger 556
  • SFA 545
  • Sidewinder

You can clearly see that even weapons that were not weak anyway were strengthened. RAM-9 could be included here, but the SVA 545 also performed well at the end of February and beginning of March. In most cases, the developers have improved the damage values here as well, but in the case of many weapons, the recoil or aim/movement speed has also been improved. These are not factors that can be neglected in a dynamic game like Warzone.

Warzone weapons have been enhanced on several levels

We should not forget that these are just the obvious nerfs and buffs, and the real number may be somewhere around 15. However, there are bound to be additional changes under the hood, but Raven Software does not always comment on them, and the producers often point them out Content and experts. Next week will be exciting again in terms of discoveries. Naturally, we try to give as comprehensive a picture as possible of these changes, just as we have done so far.
