Apple may introduce a new system, homeOS may arrive, which may be software for the manufacturer's own smart home display.
The device, which competes with Google Nest and Amazon Echo, could debut in 2025.
According to Mark Gurman, the company is working on two displays, one of which may be codenamed J595.
The device codenamed J490 is perhaps the most affordable version, and is primarily designed for calendar, notes, and smart home system management. Prototypes of the new displays are rumored to be magnetically attached to a wall or placed on top of a table.
According to Gorman, the cheaper version will be available next year, but we don't yet know when the more expensive version, which is expected to cost more than $1,000 (about 360,000 Hungarian forints), will be available.
homeOS may be based on the underpinnings of tvOS, but the difference may be support for Apple Intelligence functions.
And unlike current Apple TV and HomePod devices, these displays may already have enough power to run AI-powered tasks locally. In terms of functionality, we can expect similar options as in competing models.
