Android Velvet 12 received an update

Android Velvet 12 received an update

Last April, this news shocked both the profession and fans at the same time LG retires from the manufacture of smartphones. The company also stopped assembling devices in May, but all users were promised that they would not be let down, and the mobiles they purchased will continue to receive the support they need. The fruit of that promise is the update to Android 12, which an LG Velvet owner can install on their 5G model.

The update will be available to first-time South Korean users, indicating that only the 5G modem variant has benefited from the new software so far, not the LTE version, although we can’t be sure yet. It is possible that in the not too distant future, the system will begin to be distributed in other regions as well, so even LG Velvet owners who live in Hungary will be able to install it.

All we can say is that this is something very special from the manufacturer and it’s almost no longer there, at least within that product category. Providing the latest firmware for a smartphone released in 2020 is only perfect because devices from very active manufacturers running Android 11 have appeared in an incomprehensible way recently. Plus, with the latest software, the LG Velvet can still make quite the impact even today, as it’s a well-equipped, premium mid-range model.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chipset, large OLED display, 48MP primary camera, 4300mAh battery, among many other features. In conclusion, we will unfortunately have to add that it is not worth expecting more massive updates on the LG Velvet, which means that newer versions of Android will no longer work on the smartphone. Are you still using the cell phone in question?
