America has been so widely attacked that Joe Biden is publishing secret services

During his visit to Michigan, Biden said he was not yet sure who could be behind what happened.

We originally thought the Russian government was not to blame, but we’re not sure yet

The US president said.

Biden said he instructed intelligence agencies to conduct an investigation. He stressed that the United States would respond if it became clear that Russia was responsible for the cyber attack.

At the Geneva summit of Russian President Biden and Vladimir Putin on June 16, the US president called on his official partner to take action against hackers based in Russia and warned of the consequences of continuing such attacks. There have been many recent attacks on US companies with the racketeering virus.

Cybersecurity firm Huntress Labs blames a Russian-linked criminal group REvil for a large-scale cyber attack on Friday., which was manipulated by hackers to measure a blow to the supply chain that destroyed one of Kaseya’s widely used software called VSA. Last month, the FBI held the same group responsible for a cyber attack on meat company JBS.

Kaseya confirmed the reality of the cyber attack on Friday and tried to reassure everyone that she was able to keep things under control, so only a small percentage of her clients using the VSA network were affected. Huntress Labs said the day about 200 companies’ data was encrypted by criminals. On Saturday, Huntress Labs already assumed that thousands of small businesses could be affected.

Extortion viruses lock and encrypt the selected victim’s computer system and demand money so that their owners can regain control of their IT systems, computers and network.

In the wake of the cyber attack, one of Sweden’s largest retail chains, Coop, was forced to temporarily close on Saturday. The measure affected about 800 stores in the Scandinavian country. The company said one of its subcontractors was subjected to a cyberattack, causing its digital cash registers to fail. Similar problems were reported by SJ State Railways. According to the Swedish subsidiary of the software company Visma, the problems are related to the cyber attack on Kaseya.

As far as we know, in terms of losses, that’s just the tip of the iceberg

said Adam Myers, deputy director of cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike.

Some cybersecurity experts noted that the attack was carried out before the long weekend of US Independence Day (July 4), which allowed the extortion virus to spread quickly while workers were on vacation.
