The 17-inch monster will also be available with an optional touchscreen.

Acer introduced a new offering for those who keep the usual 11-14-inch laptops small, and the Chromebook 317 has a 17.3-inch and 1920 x 1080-pixel IPS screen that can support touch handling at an additional cost. With that, the producer has become an absolute record holder, and no one has even launched a Google Chrome OS laptop with such a screen.

Thanks to the huge screen, the Acer Chromebook 317 is equipped with a much larger keyboard than usual, and a number of keyboards are available on the right side of the keyboard to delight many users. Another welcome development is that the laptop has a USB 3.2 Type-C port, and the battery life is said to be 10 hours by the manufacturer under normal use.

In addition, the device is fairly standard, with dual-core Intel Celeron processor or quad-core Intel Pentium processor, 4/8 GB memory, and 64/128 GB storage, depending on the model.
