According to the latest lawsuit filed by Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie was motivated by a desire for revenge when she sold her share of a French vineyard to a Russian oligarch.

The legal dispute between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt over the French vineyard they owned is not over yet – He reveals the sixth page from his article. The newspaper obtained a legal document filed by Pitt’s lawyers on Thursday, in which the actress described Jolie’s sale of her interest in the Chateau Miraval vineyard in 2021 following a custody ruling against her as “retaliatory” behavior.

In 2008, the couple bought a property together in the south of France for $30 million, and their wedding took place here, but the romantic location became a legal battleground after their separation. Jolie and Pitt officially separated in 2019 after a three-year legal process, but there is still no final decision regarding custody of their children. One of the stages of the conflict was that Jolie sold her share of the estate in 2021, so Brad Pitt acquired a foreign co-owner in the person of the Russian oligarch Yuri Sheffler, who had rejected the offer to buy it out once before.

Pitt didn’t like it so much, he first filed a lawsuit over the sale in 2022, calling it “illegal.” He claims that when they bought Château Miraval, they agreed that neither of them would sell their share without the other’s consent.

Julie replied that there was no such agreement. The actress says she sold her share to become financially independent from Pitt and hpoy to “find some form of peace and closure in this deeply painful and traumatic chapter in their lives and those of their children.”

According to the new filing, Jolie “secretly colluded” with the oligarch Scheffler, who is close to Putin, and Jolie specifically intended to damage Pitt’s reputation with the deal. The legal action is seen as a response to Jolie’s counterclaim nine months ago, in which she alleged that Pitt tried to “take control” of the French winery to ensure his ex-wife never saw a penny of her huge earnings. The suit also alleges that Pitt tried to force Jolie to sign a non-disclosure agreement barring her from discussing the circumstances of their divorce.
