According to the announcement, the aim of the educational series, which will begin on October 20, is to promote science and public education, which is why lecturers, humanities and natural scientists will deal with current issues of science and everyday science.

The aim of the organizers is to make clear to the public the problems of contemporary Hungarian and international sciences that have a great impact on life, but there is little talk about them in an educational way. Lecturers will show how scientific findings can be used outside the academic field, and how they can help find solutions to problems that arise in everyday life.

Topics of the one-hour lectures include information, digital society, scientific progress, the spread of pseudoscience and misinformation, the relationship between faith and knowledge, the social standing of the scientific community, advantages and disadvantages of artificial intelligence, and the emergence of a new one. The disciplines, bioethics, the social responsibility of scientists and researchers or the human role in the scientific world that is developing at an astonishing rate.

Invited guests – the first being Sándor Soós, Head of the Center for Library and Information at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences – will talk about the relationship between science measurement and creativity – they will talk about the broader context of their field, and have open questions and discussion.
