Wi-Fi 7, improved 5G connectivity, HD and Ultra Wide, all in a slightly larger body.
Naturally, new products hardly reach store shelves iPhone 15 models – or just the base models, you still have to wait for the Pro versions in most places – there are already rumors about new phones that will be released in the fall of next year. Haitong analyst Jeff Pu, citing supplier sources, claims that the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max will come in a larger size, with a 0.2-inch larger screen. One reason for this is that the 5x optical zoom telephoto lens introduced on the 15 Pro Max will also be included in the base model, which needs space, and the 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera that has been used for years will be replaced by a 48-megapixel one. But according to rumours, it will only remain in the Pro models, which is the base model without the weaker autofocus and macro capabilities. These are partly consistent with news that came out even before the fifteenth series aired.
Referring to his sources, Pu claims that instead of Apple’s own modem, the iPhone 16 Pro phones will use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon In addition, the Pro models will be able to connect according to the Wi-Fi 7 standard, reaching speeds of up to 46 Gbps. 8GB of RAM will reportedly remain in next year’s Pro models, and the A18 Pro chip will be manufactured on TSMC’s 3nm contract in the same way as the A17 Pro was introduced this year.
The latter may enter base models next year, but likely only as the A17, with slightly lower performance but still with 8GB of memory. Support for the Wi-Fi 6E standard may arrive on the regular iPhone 16, but a 5G modem is not said to have been touched.
