A collectible character from PlayStation Stars will be coming back to the past in October!

The NFT-compliant figure is easily identifiable by those who remember the early days of the PlayStation.

We’ve also written about the announcement and release schedule for PlayStation Stars, and we’ve also reported that Japanese gamers haven’t taken well that those who make it to the top of Sony’s already launched Asia loyalty program are given priority when visiting their customer service. But so far there hasn’t been much talk of what numbers can be displayed in the display case (and their announcement).

T-Rex will be one of the collectible characters. It may not be recognizable at first, so the extinct animal needs a simple explanation: The T-Rex was used by Sony in the popular PlayStation technology demo (see over here You can watch a video). Sony wasn’t kidding when it said it’s back with its loyalty program, so you don’t have to do much: If you play any PlayStation 5 or PlayStation 4 game in October, you’ll get it if you sign up for PlayStation Stars (it’s enough to have A PlayStation Network account; we don’t need a PlayStation Plus subscription).

We don’t know yet if we’ll get this in the western regions (who knows if there will be a regional difference), because the program starts on the 5th in the Americas and on the 13th in Europe and Australia, so we can only guess in these few days. The Playstation fanatic We learned from the official T-Rex description that PlayStation Stars members will receive a “scientifically authentic figurine of T-Rex from the original PlayStation technology demo”.

Even if you can describe Sony’s decline as a particularly valid idea, it certainly doesn’t sound original (since Sony Interactive Entertainment is led by Jim Ryan, who has retroactively condemned game support…), on the other hand, it’s currently only available on iOS and Android, you can watch them in the PlayStation app, because there is no possibility to do this on the console. It’s not the start you might expect from Sony.

We’ll see if there will be a T-Rex in the West or not.
